Logiciel began in 1984 as a provider of customized software solutions for small to medium sized businesses (SMBs) in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We customized our software based on business specific needs, providing comprehensive training and offering ongoing technical support to ensure our customers long-term success. This beginning, of understanding our customer's needs, has served as the foundation of our current business model and the building block for our future success.

By the late 1980's, computerization and automation became a necessity for most businesses to improve service and productivity. Logiciel recognized the need for standardized business software solution for the Wholesale and Retail gift, home accessory, home furnishing, stationery, toys, apparel, jewelry, and other general merchandise industries and began focusing on software applications specifically for these industry segments. We shipped our first standardized Point of Sale and Inventory Control Solution in mid 1991. We continued to enhance and upgrade our products and created one of the most powerful, yet affordable Point of Sale and inventory control software on the market. In January 2000, we introduced our Windows-based Point of Sale and Inventory System, POS³².

In 2001, as standard wireless and PDA technology continued to advance, we identified an opportunity in the Wholesale market to provide mobile sales order solutions, to primarily help Wholesale Vendors speed order entry and improve order accuracy while taking orders at trade shows, in addition to providing additional customer service and inventory planning benefits. We capitalized on this opportunity in 2002 and released our popular TradeShow³² mobile solution, and since have gained a number of customers and expanded that solution to release solutions for field sales order and rep management, in addition to rep group field, showroom, and agency management.

Throughout our history, our focus has been on Wholesale and Retail SMBs. Logiciel believes this market is under served and deserves special attention. We have designed our entire operation (products, services and pricing) around serving their needs.
